Dark Cave of Batu Cave

The Dark Cave is just situated beside Batu Cave of Kuala Lumpur. It was a restricted area for the past. A few years ago it has been open to public. Before entering the cave ones must apply the permit and ask for at least a guide. If not mistaken one guide is allowed to take only ten visitors. Once you enter the cave, the thing that welcome you are the smell of the bat's shit. It is not surprising as the habitat of bats are dark places. You can see one or few bats but hundreds or thousands of bat here.

The cave is really dark so the visitors must bring a torch so that you are not lost. We can see many insects in the cave such as cockroaches. They are a bit different from what we see in our house. The cave was the place that the communist stayed before, so we can also see many Chinese words that written by them. Unfortunately I can't really understand what the words mean because they are a bit different.

The most interesting things to see in the cave sure are the stalactites and the stalagmites. They look more beautiful under the light. They are believed to form a few million years ago. We are not allowed to touch them as they will lost their shine. There is a place that very changing for the visitors because you have to crawl through a very narrow path. No other choice it is the only way.
