Tabai, Thailand

Tabai is a small town at the border of Pengkalan Kubur, Kelantan (Malaysia) and Thailand. The border is separated by Golok River. To go there from Pengkalan Kubur, one must takes a ferry. It costs only one ringgit per trip and the journey is only about 2 minutes. We are surprised to find that there is no immigration office at the Thai border and you are allowed to enter the country without any document. But, for the Malaysia side you must provide the passport at the jetty.

For me, it is not an interesting trip because there is really nothing to see at Tabai. There is a market there and many hawker stalls. All the goods sell there are actually the same with what we can find in Pengkalan Kubur and the price is no different too. The weather there is really hot as there are only a few trees can be found there. We use only half an hour to walk there and buy nothing.
